We all know the internet can be sketchy. So while 90% of Canadians research cars online, when it comes to buying or selling, people still default to dealerships. Why meet a strange person in a strange place if you don't have to? 

But Clutch is a new way to make a deal: Fast, simple, 100% online and weirdos not included.  So we partnered with the NBA and Toronto Raptor Kelly Olynyk and ran our spots during the playoffs. All to drive credibility and awareness that there is indeed a non-sketchy - and effective - way to buy and sell cars online. 

With over 1.2M views on Youtube alone and a 35% increase of cars sold on Clutch, the campaign drove home results.

For round 2 of Pinterest Presents - Pinterests annual Global Ad Summit -  we knew we had to double-down on what made our first year so effective in the first place: The fiercely funny mash-up of education and entertainment for a B2B audience.

This year, our brief was all about performance. We needed to show marketers that Pinterest was a best-in-class performance platform that could deliver exceptional business results. There was not better way to do it than make marketers themselves the hero of our story.

Taking a liberal riff on beloved, nostalgic sports movies, we created the fictitious Pinterest Performance Centre where marketers come to face their fears and take their marketing game to the next level. With our celebrity cast bringing the funny, we showcased exec keynotes, product demos and client testimonials in an intensely entertaining 50 minute show. The vibe was bright, bold, positive and pure Pinterest. 

With 50,000+ registrations, 40, 000+ total viewership and 82% watch-through rate (huge for a virtual show), round 2 of Pinterest Presents was a knockout.

Global advertiser summits are annual events where big tech companies try to convince marketers to increase ad spends on their platforms. Rife with keynotes and product launches, they’ve become a trope unto themselves. So when Pinterest was looking for a fresh take on their annual ad summit -  Pinterest Presents - we took a groundbreaking approach to this B2B event.

We knew our audience of marketers were people first, and people love to be entertained. So we took two beloved formats - the mockumentary and the making of - and made an epic mashup: Pinterest Presents, a show within a show, that’s the show. 

With a comedic ensemble starring SNL’s Heidi Gardner, Rashida ‘Sheedz’ Olayiwola (Jury Duty), Harvey Guillén (What We Do In The Shadows) and Aisling Bea (This Way Up), we used humour and creative storytelling to house the hardest of hard working B2B content. The approach drove awareness of why Pinterest was a must-buy for advertisers - all by entertaining them in a way they already loved. 

It was a first-of-its-kind global virtual event that clocked in at 50 minutes and not only drove a 100% watch-through rate (almost inconceivable for this kind of content), but was one of Adweek’s 20 Campaigns That Made Creatives Jealous.

As the OG hub of viral videos, YouTube has always been the home of remix culture (Chocolate Rain, Shoes, and Charlie Bit My Finger to name a few and date myself). But, for Gen Z, the hottest new videos are all on short-form video. Arriving late to the party, Shorts needed to steal the attention of creators with YouTube’s content and music library.

Remixed by You tapped into remix culture by showing how everyone can endlessly remix the content they love, their way. Collaborating with award-winning Canadian producer WondaGurl, we remixed “Short Shorts” into a certified banger. It became our catchy campaign soundtrack, helping to spawn our hero video (featuring Canadian artists and creators putting their remix on the track) and inspired 300+ pieces of original creator content.

We then put the small screen on the big screen, leveraging creator content to create DOOH placements nation-wide, inspiring Canadians to add their own remix to the app.

To bring attention to the extraordinarily talented female athletes in Canada, we were asked to create a campaign that both celebrated the skills, determination, and strength of women in sport but also drew attention to the extra challenges and adversity they are faced with daily. Athletes facing lack of network and marketing support, low pay, little to no maternity leave, and a constant barrage of sexist comments from viewers, tap into their Mad Love of the game to change it for the next generation.

We were asked by Nike to help launch the first Toronto Air Max 95, a new iteration of an iconic shoe designed to celebrate the city’s diverse community. First, we partnered with artist Moya Garrison-Msingwana to illustrate and design a box with characters who embody the culture, passions, and ideas from all over the world that are brought together on the streets of T-dot. The box itself illustrated the seasonal street style of the city, with a summer scene on the lid and a winter scene on the interior.

To tease the launch of the shoe, we created a series of OOH posters and social posts, bringing the Nike angel and unique characters to the streets of the city (including a digital OOH placement at Yonge and Dundas). We even put our own Toronto spin on the iconic Nike tagline.

With cannabis becoming legal in Canada, the Olli founders wanted to provide a different experience to a new demographic: those with limited cannabis experience who were looking for a high quality edible. Using quality ingredients, they crafted baked goods with unique flavours that would appeal to someone interested in an elevated experience. Looking to inspire this potential audience, we captured each baked good in a suggested occasion that could feel like anyone’s daily ritual: at the beach, listening to records, or enjoying a meal with friends.

Pinterest is a platform millions of us use on a daily basis to search, get inspired, and plan for anything from kitchen renovations to road trips to what to wear at your new job. And with each search, we encounter new brands and products. For Pinvision 2025, Pinterest wanted to take marketers on the full funnel consumer journey, bringing to life the many opportunities for brands on the platform. We created immersive experiences like a shoppable closet, food market, and travel zone all inspired by real Canadians’ searches on the platform.

In 2020, we launched Darling Mimosa: helping brunchers and patio sippers avoid the age old problem of having to pop a bottle of bubbly just to enjoy a classic mimosa. We created a brand that brought to life the brightness, lightness, and sunshine in each can; with hand-illustrated flavour cues, eye-catching patterns and an un-ignorable colour palette that was sure to stand out on shelf.

Since then, the brand has grown to include Orange, Grapefruit, and Pineapple mimosa flavours, a signature mix pack, and now a Red Sangria.

Bruce Wine Bar is a beloved local bodega in Thornbury, Ontario specializing in Ontario-grown ingredients. They asked us to create a refreshed brand look and feel, inspired by their iconic raven and bold colour palette, and combining the handmade feel of a neighbourhood bodega with an elevated, modern approach. We added a modern spin to the illustrated raven, and paired him with a textured, bold font inspired by vintage bodega signage.

Olli Cannabis was looking to launch a wellness-focused brand of high quality edibles, and asked us to create a brand identity and name for the new line.

We created Ollive, a brand inspired by the simple, plant-based ingredients meant to bring balance and joy to Canadians’ lives. The logo and brand system were infused with organic lines and balanced repetition, brought together by a soothing colour palette and diffused photography style.

In the heart of Bloomfield, Prince Edward County, is a flourishing flower farm. Ben’s Blooms inhabits a century farm, with a large victorian farm house and a flower stand on a gravel road. To help launch Ben’s Blooms, we created a brand with a hand drawn look and feel inspired by the weathered, character-filled farm house and delicate blooms in the surrounding fields.

The brand identity included a series of custom word marks, tagline, colour palette, and hand illustrated graphic elements.

The spirit industry has a long-standing record of failing to reflect modern women. And so, with the first brand campaign for Lillet in Canada, we wondered what would happen if instead of talking to women, we let her speak instead? Lillet Her Way was a campaign that celebrated women living life their own way. We collaborated with a community of women to create a zine, a symbol of self-expression and counter culture, to share their stories of pathing their own path in their careers, creativity and life at-large. With over 1,600 people waiting for an organ transplant in Ontario, Trillium Gift of Life Network wanted to create a campaign that reminded Ontarians how important organ donations are.

We often take for granted how organs are deeply embedded in our everyday lives: everything from liking posts on social to the lyrics we sing out loud, organs permeate pop culture.

To illustrate the important roles that organs play in our lives and create empathy for those in need, we removed organs from the lyrics of two popular songs—lyrics that listeners would be sure to miss.

To accompany the songs on Spotify, we created lyric video pre-rolls, and animated social posts where we removed organs from well-known sayings.

The full campaign included OOH, social posts & videos, banners, pre-roll videos, two full song covers, and Spotify radio ads.

To promote Mastercard's Priceless Tables program (offering cardholders the chance to experience priceless dining opportunities in their respective cities), we gave a select group of Mastercard cardholders the once-in-a-lifetime chance to experience dinner onstage at Toronto's Roy Thomson Hall, with the symphony.

We engaged local chef Cory Vitiello and conductor Earl Lee to create an evening of composed music and food--creating a menu and score that perfectly inspired one another.

The guests were sent a custom invitation in the form of a record sleeve, containing Vivaldi's Four Seasons.

The second film is the corresponding Priceless Tables event we hosted in Montréal—an evening at centre ice for Habs fans.
